Diversity Quotas, Diverse Perspectives

Quota initiatives have been introduced in some countries to promote equal opportunities and reduce discrimination against minorities and disadvantaged groups. At the same time, these policies are not perceived uniformly in different contexts and are open to challenge. Exploring the use and impact of quotas and affirmative action at an institutional or organizational level, the contributions in Diversity Quotas, Diverse Perspectives from researchers across the world, focus mainly on gender related issues but raise questions pertinent to other aspects of diversity. This book expands discussion of the topic beyond Anglo-Saxon contexts.
