Isometries in Banach Spaces

A continuation of the authors’ previous book, this volume covers much of the work that has been done on characterizing isometries on various Banach spaces. It discusses the topic in the context of vector-valued function spaces and operator spaces and presents numerous methods and tools used to characterize various types of spaces. The authors report on the results of pertinent original research papers and offer some enlightening clarifications. They also include notes and remarks at the end of each chapter that touch upon related results and other approaches not addressed in the main discussions.
