Using Emerging Technologies to Develop Professional Learning

This book addresses the lack of research into the adoption of emerging teaching in teachers’ professional development. Drawing on case studies from across the world, it suggests ways in which these new technologies can effectively contribute towards professional learning. Contributors use a wide variety of approaches to analyse the potential for emerging (and established) technologies, including digital, Web2.0, social media, and IT tools, to develop ‘effective’ or ‘deep’ professional learning for pre- and in-service teachers and teacher educators.
